The past few months have been very exciting and full. I had the wonderful opportunity to go on tour with Yugen Puppet Company and their Little Princess Goldtree. This show was a part of the Puppet Animation Festival. It was a quick and cheerful rehearsal period held at Platform in Easterhouse. The show was then produced by The Festival itself and was a great opportunity for me to see parts of Scotland I'd not been to before. From the Borders to Aberdeenshire, it was a lovely time with some great feedback and audiences. Here's hoping it won't be the last we've seen of The Princess, her friends, and especially not the all seeing, all knowing Trout.

The groups I worked with through the Short Courses at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland had their semester end performances. All went well, and the buckles were swashed and villains defeated. There were even some epic moustaches to add to the adventure. I'm looking forward to their upcoming semester, and keep your eyes peeled for 2 weekend workshops coming up in the autumn. I've been asked to teach stage combat workshops, one for adults and one for young performers, and I'm really looking forward to it.

Next week is the opening of The Libertine at the Citizen's Theatre here in Glasgow. I have done a bit of choreography for this and head into tech rehearsal tomorrow to see it up on stage. I've not had any contact with the phallus musical number, but the drunken rumble is looking to be great.

And as it's suddenly May, I'm thrilled to be looking at a full calendar through the summer as well. More to come soon!!
